Autumn Watch
Those of you who are based in the UK will possibly be familiar with a nature show on BBC2 called Autumn Watch. The show features Chris Packham as he observes the changes of the season within the countryside. Chris is also a big music fan and last series managed to namecheck lots of songs by The Smiths. This series his theme seems to be the Jesus and Mary Chain and so far he has managed to drop ‘The Living End’, ‘Head On’, ‘Happy When It Rains’ and ‘Nine Million Rainy Days’ into his observations.

Last year Chris also made cue cards featuring record sleeves and included ‘Psychocandy’ amongst them and describes the album as “the greatest debut of the ’80s? The soundtrack of my life” on his blog.

The show goes out at 8.30pm BBC2 on Thursday evenings, however those of you based in the UK will also be able to watch the previous shows on the BBC iPlayer.
