Super Furry Animals and Teenage Fanclub have been announced as set to play on the Saturday (July 25) of the Ben And Jerry’s Summer Sundae festival.
The event takes place on Clapham Common in London on July 25 and 26 and will also feature I Am Kloot, The Human League, The Futureheads and Marina And The Diamonds.

The third and final Creation single by The Bodines before they signed to Magnet was the 1986 single ‘Heard It All’ backed on the 12 ” by ‘William Shatner’. Here both songs can be heard recorded live at the ULU in 1986, the quality is that of a bootleg, but I often find these capture the gig far better than any professional recording. Continue reading
Television Personalities have been confirmed for the Benicassim Festival, which happens near Valencia in Spain. They will be appearing on Saturday 18th July, stage time around 10.30 by all accounts.
The band also recently released a new single called ‘People Think That We Are Strange’ b/w ‘A Glimpse Of My Genius’ on Elefant Records.

Bob Mould and his Band have announced a tour of the US, kicking off October 7 in Boston, MA.
Mould will perform tracks from both his Husker Du and Sugar days, as well as material from his latest album ‘Life And Times’.

Baby Amphetamine were put together by Alan McGee and Joe Foster in April 1987. The band consisted of three shop assistants from the Virgin Megastore and was Creation’s reaction to manufactured pop. Although the band only released one single, Chernobyl Baby (who needs the Government?), they made the cover of the NME in 1987 and this article makes for some interesting reading Continue reading
